Father’s Day surprises…

Both of these Dad’s got surprise images for Father’s Day…dad with his 3 grown sons and new dad with his new little one.  The image of Gary with his 3 grown sons is just great because you can see the pride in his face and the joy of being there with his children.  Mary Jo is going to decorate her family room with canvases of all the different poses of the entire family group as well as individual separates.  What a keepsake that will be for the family throughout the years.  The one with her new little grand-daughter and her son is so precious because of the “smile” that you can see on daddy’s face.  No, you can’t see his face, but you CAN see the delight in the smile crinkles around his eyes.  I just love this one!

Norb and De celebrate their 50th

Norb and De were in Tampa to celebrate their 50th Anniversary with their children and their families.  All 16 of them gathered at the atrium in the Intercontinental Hotel in Tampa before their dinner at Shula”s.  The light was perfect and the waterfall as a background gave a lovely addition to their family portraits.  Look closely at De, she is wearing a gold heart necklace that Norb gave her on her 17th birthday!  What a lucky lady!  I have had a lot of anniversays lately; so glad to be part of such happy times.  Let’s see if I can remember all their names:

Norb, De, Tom, Lynn, Tom (he was in the senior portrait post from several weeks ago, see if you can find him), Kristen, Katherine, Timmy, Sawyer, Laurie, Richard, Cassidy, Cindy, Jaybird, Vito, Roma, ….hmmmm who am I missing?

I loved all the family images, but I think my favorite is Norb with all his grandaughters cuddled into him.

Super Dad – the Younger…

As you can see by these pics, I have a real live Super Dad for a step-son!  But he IS the “younger” version of my husband.  Somewhere along the way, long before I met my husband, he started saying,  “They don’t call me Super Dad for nothing!”   Yes, my husband does actually have a resemblance to Superman.   So, since my step-son is named Miles (the younger) and not junior and my husband is Miles (the original?), we now must call Miles, the younger, Super Dad – the Younger!  Anyway, we took these several weeks ago in order to give some to my husband for Father’s Day as a surprise.  We chose the more classic ones in white for my husband to match the gallery of  family images that he now has, but I made sure that we got the Super Dad images of Miles and his daughter, Alexa as a special keepsake for them.  Hope everyone had a very special Father’s Day.  And an especially wonderful wish for everyone that is celebrating a First Father’s Day this time around!

Starting a new life – with tattoo…

Scott has just graduated and is going on to college to major in physical therapy and personal training.  We photographed his brother Ryan about three years ago and it was a pleasure to see Scott today.  His mother reminded me we have been photographing the brothers since Scott was in elementary school!  What changes.  He recently chose to have a tattoo and even though mom was a not a huge fan of this choice, we did some images that highlighted the tattoo.  This tattoo says something about not only the physical strength of this young man, but his commitment to his inner and spiritual strength as well.  Sneak preview for you guys!  Enjoy!  See you next week.

A life well lived

Margie and Gene are soon to celebrate their 48th Anniversary.  They have lived a full and rich life and were a delightful couple to work with.  Margie is an accomplished and diligent genealogist and says she now works “day and  night” on finding her relatives and Gene’s.  Gene is a retired machinist and you can see how much he adores Margie.  What a lovely couple.  This is the image that they chose to share with family and friends this year.  Contratulations to you both!
