Sweet as a button…

This child could easily be a model baby!  She came in this morning to have portraits created and was such a treasure… we changed outfits 5 times!  This is a sneak peek for mom Magda and grandma, too.  Very talented Grandma made the adorable bonnet to go with the incredible christening gown.  Can’t wait for you to see the rest next week!

Tarpon Springs Tourists…

Took a much needed day to play hooky with my husband and went to Tarpon Springs… got some wonderful images!  Take a peek!

The first two images are of the old Greek Church there, St. Nicholas.  The architecture is fabulous!  I can’t decide, black and white or color?  Give me your opinion in comments.  What could be more iconic than the boats and seagulls -had to have those.   Then there is the fun pink and green storefront and their “welcome statement” beside the entrance.  The colors just popped off the page, I loved it.  Some of the displays were set up either in rows (the shells) or just random (the starfish).  I was drawn to the repetitive patterns.  We indulged just a little with the wonderful pastries from Hella’s, can’t go to Tarpon without stopping there!  Love their store just about as much as their pastries, just something about the atmosphere there.  All those lovely pastries lined up behind glass, making your mouth water.  Can you tell we like chocolate?   And then we finished off the beaten path with the image from the old Sutherland house, one of the first houses in the area.  Lots of history here, open for tours, but not on the day we went.   I liked the colors and the symmetry and decided to make it more posterized to give  it a distinctive look.
