Amy and Michael came in to celebrate the birth of their second child and wanted to do similar portraits of what they had done with their first, and they wanted to include their older daughter in them as well. Little “E” was a charmer. She did everything we asked her to do and just gave us the best expressions. Amy and Michael were very comfortable in front of the camera and it shows in the portraits. It really makes a real difference when my portrait subjects are relaxed and ready to trust me to pose them in an attractive way. Thanks everybody! A perfect 1 year old portrait…
Little “A” came in last week to celebrate her 1 year old birthday. Grandma and Mom always bring her in together and we have such a good time! This time she was all smiles, until we went into the camera room…then she became a very serious child! But we worked hard and got some great portraits. Loving portraits….
Heidi and Paul came in last week for their pregnancy portraits. A lot of times I just get the mom in to do the images by herself, but I am always happy to get the dad in as well. After all, it is something that both parents participate in and to have portraits of both mom and dad during the pregnancy is quite a lovely thing. Here is my favorite of the session, Paul looks so loving and protective as he gazes at his wife and Heidi looks so at peace and serene. I made this portrait in black and white. Black and white can convey the emotion of an image sometimes better than color. Love to hear comments about this one, this is the first time I have used this pose with a couple.
A Little Cherub’s Portrait…
Little Peyton came in last week and was just a bundle of two year old boy! As his Momma says, he is FEARLESS!!! Both Mom and I were concerned if he was going to be too “independent” to create portraits of him, 🙂 but…once he got in the actual studio and was amazed and dazzled by the lights and background…we got great images of him!! This little boy is a solid mass of muscle. I picked him up once and I don’t think there is any little baby fat on him! Solid muscle. A young man’s portrait…
Shane came in this afternoon and was the nicest young man. I have had serveral young men recently that have just impressed me with their manners and ability to focus and hold a pose. Shane is one of them. He has a great smile, but his serious images are phenomenal! He is at that age where his whole begins to change and I was honored to be able to capture him at this time in his life. Here is your sneak peek (bring mom a box of tissues before she sees these!
