Miles+Colleen+Alexa=Family …Orlando Wedding Photography

Last weekend’s Orlando wedding was especially wonderful as I saw not only a bride and groom come together, but a family form that include a beautiful relationship with a daughter.  Lots of love and laughter and great relationships at this wedding.  One of the great things I like about weddings is the sense of family that always comes into play.

Miles and Colleen’s wedding was in Orlando at a fun venue called The Veranda in Thornton Park.  Set in a group of quaint, old houses in an historic area with cobblestone streets, lots of charm and fun little shops around.  Bonny, the coordinator for the Orlando wedding was very easy to work with and kept on top of things.  I love working with wedding coordinators  – they keep things on time and in order.  Give me a call to talk about your wedding soon.

A Winning smile…Palm Harbor Children’s Photographer

Little “V” has been coming to me since she was a new born.  A beautiful baby and a beautiful toddler.  She won her first pageant just a little while ago and Mom and Dad brought her in to create a memory of the milestone.  After we got her portraits with the trophies, Mom jumped in for a few and we created an heirloom wall portrait for them to treasure. Be sure to give Kathleen Hall Photography a call to commemorate any special events in your life.

A winning smile

Weddings are such a great family event – Josh and Julie’s was no exception.  What a wonderful bunch of friends and family came out to wish them well in starting their new life together.  Loved working with old and new wedding professionals to make this come together.  Debbie, from Bride’s Bouquet -we’ve worked together for many years.  Absolutely gorgeous flowers!  Celebration Productions with Larry Browett- music was superb!  The staff at Heritage Springs Country Club was incredibly professional and organized.  Check out a few of their images for their sneak peek!

A mum and her two sons…

Karen called me a while back to schedule a session for her two sons, one graduating from college and the other in high school.  Karen knew that the timing of these family portraits was crucial.  Once the older son has a full time job, it will be increasingly difficult for her to get their two schedules together to create these family portraits.  Each boy had a distinct style and mannerisms.  Take a look and see how handsome they each are and what a wonderful family they make in the portrait of the 3 of them.

Cocoa Slurpees…

I have been making these sweet treats for over two years now and my stepdaughters love them.  I recently made some for my visiting niece and it was a big hit for her also.  So, I just thought I would share this cool drink for the rest of the summer heat that is still to come.  Just take one or two packages of powdered hot cocoa mix, fill the blender 2/3 full of ice cubes, add 1/2 cup water or milk (really doesn’t matter) and add the cocoa mix and blend till it gets to the consistency that you like.  Add more water or ice as needed.  Top with whipping creme if desired.  Oh yea, I recently found out that Dairy Queen is now selling Icy Hot Chocolate – guess what it tastes like!  Yes, almost exactly!  You could make these really low cal too with low calorie hot cocoa mix and nix the whip creme.  They really are yummy – give it a try.
